Raymore resident video tapes thief

name2.

Joshua Edmonds, a Raymore resident who lives on Shenandoah Drive, has been the victim of repeated robberies over the past year. And the thief is stealing from Edmonds’ own driveway.

“I have had property stolen and vandalized. That’s why I invested in the camera system,” says Edmonds.

Because the criminal activity has occurred so frequently (over ten times in total), the disgruntled property owner decided to catch the person(s) in the middle of their actions – and that’s exactly what happened.

A surveillance video that was uploaded to Edmonds’ personal Facebook page shows a pixelized figure walking up to his truck, dislodging the door, snooping around inside the cab, and then taking off.

This screen shot of the surveillance video taken by Mr. Edmonds shows someone entering his vehicle.

“I normally lock my car doors, but that hasn’t stopped the thieves,” Edmonds says.

“They have no problem breaking an expensive window to steal a [cheap] phone charger.”

Edmonds does not know exactly who the person(s) responsible are, though he is convinced that they live nearby.

In the video Edmonds uploaded to Facebook – which has received over 400 shares – it appears as though the robber is trudging through the snow without a coat.

“I have spoken with several other folks on my street and adjacent blocks, and they have dealt with the same issues,” stated Edmonds.

According to Mr. Edmonds, two GPS units, a few phone chargers, and other items have been stolen from his vehicles.
