RAYMORE, MO – Contractors working with Missouri Gas Energy on Tuesday afternoon (July 14) hit a city-owned water main at North Dean Ave. (just south of 58 Highway) causing a disruption of water service to businesses and homes in the area.
City crews were immediately on the scene working to fix the break and restore water service.
To fix the break, however, city crews had to temporarily turn off water service to several businesses in the area. Homes in the Timber Trails Townhome subdivision were also affected.
Water service retuned to everyone in the affected area by 4:30 p.m. Water quality was never an issue during this incident.
“We want to thank everyone for their patience Tuesday afternoon as our crews worked to fix the break and resume normal water service to the area.” Raymore Public Works Director Mike Krass said.
