The beginning of the new school year is quickly approaching. Just a few more days before the students return to school for the 2015-2016 school year.
It is now time to focus on restocking our pantry shelves for the upcoming school year. Each week we will concentrate on a couple of items to restock our pantry shelves. This week we will be collecting granola bars, pop tarts, fruit snacks, individual cereal boxes, and macaroni and cheese. Price Chopper has the granola bars, pop tarts, and fruit snacks on sale. Hy-Vee has macaroni and cheese on special, four for $10.
Please consider donating. Items may be dropped off at the Raymore Chamber office located at 1000 W. Foxwood Drive (inside of the Country Club Bank building) in Raymore.
Thank you for your continued support of this program!
What is the C.A.N. (Caring About Nutrition) Program?
Through the Raymore-Peculiar Public Schools Foundation (an approved 501(c)3 organization), the C.A.N. program is designed to assist students with nutritional needs while they are away from school over weekends. Qualifying students receive a weekly child-friendly food package. This program is currently operating on donations of food, money, and time from volunteers.
