FROM STAFF REPORTS
HARRISONVILLE – The Harrisonville soccer team was not scared on Halloween and they were not looking to hand out treats, but instead the Wildcats were looking to treat themselves for the second straight season.
The Wildcats topped Rusin 9-0 on Oct. 29, to set up the Halloween showdown with Raytown South for the 2018 District title.
Both teams were seemingly scared of the goal on Halloween, because the two teams were 0-0 all the way through one overtime.
Harrisonville’s Connor Blentlinger showed that Halloween didn’t scare him as he kicked the game-winning goal in the second overtime period.
Harrisonville, which went undefeated to win its conference title, finished the season with a 20-5-2 record.
