Most of the midwest of the United States, including Raymore, were greeted Sunday by Mother Nature in a snowy-white way.
The storm, which reached all the way into Michigan, shut down Kansas City International Airport for a brief time and caused numerous schools in the Kansas City, including most of the schools in the Raymore area, to cancel classes on Monday.
Raymore began receiving moisture in the form of light rain in the 10 o’clock hour Sunday morning, that turned to snow in the following hour. The snow lasted for two hours before turning to freezing fog, which lasted for the next four hours.
