Missouri voters expand Medicad

Primary elections were held on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Raymore voters decided who will be on the ballot in November, as well as voted on two city issues and one statewide Medicaid expansion issue. Of the nearly 70,000 registered voters in Cass County, nearly 22,000 ballots were submitted, less than one-third.

No foul play being investigated in car fire at Ray-Pec

Parents of Raymore-Peculiar School District students received an email on July 28 informing them of a vehicle fire on the property of Raymore-Peculiar High School.

Ray-Pec registration process includes learning choice

A report shared Thursday night with the School Board showed that 4,298 Ray-Pec students have registered for the 2020-2021 school year with the desire to return to school in person. See the report to the Board

Bus ride presents ‘LIFETIME THRILL’ for kindergartner

A Raymore-Peculiar Summer School kindergarten student realized that he would never get to ride a bus because his mom is a teacher. This has been bothering him all Summer School. Apple Bus Company, the school district’s transportation provider, had a bus show up after school Tuesday to give Easton Curtis and his mom, Monica Curtis, a quick bus trip. The first picture is Easton being called to the bus line. He even received a bus care package from Apple Bus as a souvenir. Words cannot quite express the happiness of a five-year-old boy who loves buses.

Ray-Pec sets goal of improving air-quality inside its schools

As part of a continuing effort to implement health and safety measures as we approach the start of school, the Raymore-Peculiar School District is implementing ways to improve indoor air quality for staff and students.
