Ray-Pec basketball teams open season with boys win, girls loss
There is no rest for Cass County High School athletic fans, with the final football game being played last week, with the Panther football team falling to St. Louis Jesuit in the Class 6 semifinals and the Ray-Pec basketball teams have already hit the basketball courts for their first action of the 2019-2020 basketball campaign.

Belton middle schoolers to have art displayed at Care Clinic
Belton Middle School students recently presented artwork to HCA Midwest staff members. Their artwork will hang in the newly opened Pirate Primary Care Clinic on the campus of the Belton School District.

Mayor’s Tree lighting brings in holidays

Dr. Mike Slagle named Ray-Pec superintendent
The Raymore-Peculiar School District Board of Education has selected Dr. Mike Slagle to serve as superintendent of the district, effective July 1, 2020. He will replace Superintendent Dr. Kari Monsees, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

Ray-Pec District earns Budget Award for 5th straight year
For the fifth consecutive year, the Raymore-Peculiar School District has received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International. The award recognizes the District for its 2019-2020 budget submission.
