2020 Mayor’s Tree Lighting done virtually
The weather was relatively nice for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting event on Dec. 4. For most residents attending the event, the climate was room temperature, literally, as this year’s ceremony was held virtually.

Prep winter seasons have begun
While the Raymore-Peculiar football team wrapped up the 2020 Missouri High School Activities Association’s fall season by winning the Class 6 state championship, other Cass County high schools got their feet wet indoors with the beginning of the 2020-2021 basketball season.

Panthers shut out DeSmet 23-0 for Class 6A championship
For the first time in school history, the Raymore-Peculiar High School football won the Missouri Class 6 state championship this past Saturday, shutting out DeSmet 23-0 to earn its fourth state championship this century.
