Dr. Mike Slagle named Ray-Pec superintendent
The Raymore-Peculiar School District Board of Education has selected Dr. Mike Slagle to serve as superintendent of the district, effective July 1, 2020. He will replace Superintendent Dr. Kari Monsees, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

Ray-Pec District earns Budget Award for 5th straight year
For the fifth consecutive year, the Raymore-Peculiar School District has received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International. The award recognizes the District for its 2019-2020 budget submission.

Lady Panther softball team continues to receive honors
The 2019 Raymore-Peculiar Lady Panther softball team put together the best season in school history and the rewards continue to come in for the group that finished No. 2 in the highest classification in the state of of Missouri.

Ray-Pec qualifies record number for district band
The Ray-Pec High School band set a new record for the number of seats earned for All-District Band! From approximately 500 students auditioning, Ray-Pec students earned 62 band chairs through blind auditions on Nov. 9 at Warrensburg High School.

Ray-Pec enrollment projected to increase
Enrollment in the Ray-Pec School District is projected to reach nearly 6,800 students (grades K-12) by 2023-24 and nearly 7,100 students by the 2029-2030 school year.

Ray-Pec boys swimming team competes at state
The Raymore-Peculiar High School boys’ swimming and diving team completed its 2019 season in mid-November. The Panthers finihsed the season by placing in a 3-way tie for 20th place in the Class 2 Missouri State championship.
