Cass County Sheriff’s Office bids farewell to K9 Deputy

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office held its quarterly awards event on June 24. The county welcomed new deputies, recognized long-time deputies and said farewell to a four-legged deputy.

Belton City Council approves NorthPoint apartment project

BELTON – The Belton City Council approved NorthPoint Development’s $44 million redevelopment of a long-vacant site at 163rd St. and Turner Rd. into the six-building, four-story, luxury 322-unit NorthPoint Apartments complex. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2021.

Ray-Pec finishes in top 40 at National Speech & Debate tourney

Ray-Pec High School finished in the Top 40 in the nation from more than 1,000 participating schools at the National Speech and Debate Tournament. This year, the tournament was held in a virtual format with students submitting recorded performances.

Hi, I am Gabi, I’m 10 years old.

Fireworks can be shot off in Raymore until July 4

Fireworks vendors with permits from the City are allowed to sell consumer fireworks until July 4.
Fireworks are permitted to be discharged between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. July 1, 2 and 3, and from 10 a.m. to midnight on July 4.
