Coffman, York, Johnson take oath

Paul Coffman, Ruth Johnson, and Kim York were sworn into office during a Board reorganization meeting on June 11. All three were re-elected to 3-year terms. Board Secretary Pam Steele administered the oath of office after the Board certified the results of the June 2 election.

Missouri enters Phase 2

The state of Missouri officially entered Phase 2 of its “Show Me Strong Recovery” plan On Tuesday, June 16, effectively all statewide COVID-19-related restrictions. However, Missourians should not take this as a sign that the pandemic is over.

Spirit of America postponed

Raymore’s 2020 Spirit of America Celebration will not be held on the originally scheduled July 2 date. Rather than cancelling the event, members of the Park Board, City Council and staff have made the decision to move the celebration to Friday, Sept. 11 to celebrate Patriot Day.

Cass County sheriffs have been busy

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was busy last week with more-than-usual activity in the area, including one officer-involved shooting and three police pursuits.

Ray-Pec Spring 2020 Honor Roll

Raymore-Peculiar High School announces the honor rolls for spring semester 2020. Students with a weighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher are on the Honor roll. Students with a weighted grade point average of 3.7 or higher are on the Principal’s Honor Roll.
