Murder charges filed in Brown case
Cass Co – The Cass County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges Thursday, Feb. 25 relating to the death of 18-year-old Vernece Brown of Kansas City, Missouri.

Belton awarded $1.9 M MARC grant
BELTON – Belton City Public Works Director Greg Rokos announced Wednesday, Feb. 24 that the city has been awarded a $1.92 million grant, in a competitive process, through the Mid-America Regional Council Surface Transportation Program (STP) for the complete rehabilitation of the North Scott Corridor.
