The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Shannon County Sheriff’s Department need the public’s help in identifying a body recently discovered.

On Jan. 12, the law enforcement agencies discovered human remains o the state right of way on U.S. Highway 60 near Winona, Mo. According to a press release, an autopsy has determined that the cause of death was homicide.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is requesting the public’s help in determining the person’s identity and any information that could be pertinent to the investigation. According to government records, the condition of the body when found was deemed unrecognizable. The post-mortem interval, which is the time elapsed since death, is estimated to be about two weeks.

The subject appears to be a white female between the ages of 40 and 60 with salt and pepper/black hair about shoulder length. Estimated height is between 4’10” and 5’4” and estimated weight is 160-185 pounds. Eye color is unknown

The victim has two legible tattoos. At the time of discovery, the victim was wearing an extra large, white Harley Davidson t-shirt and St. Johns Bay blue jeans, classic fit size 14P Petite.
