Todd Schnake named 2021 Ray-Pec Teacher of Year
Congratulations to our 2021 Ray-Pec Teacher of the Year, Todd Schnake, on being selected as a Kansas City Regional Teacher of the Year! The Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center chose Schnake as one of six honorees for the award. The Missouri Teacher of the Year will be selected from among the 34 regional winners throughout the state. As a regional winner, Schnake will receive a $250 cash award and a plaque at a recognition banquet sponsored by the Missouri State Board of Education.

Missouri 4H shooting teams rank high nationally
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The Missouri 4-H shooting sports teams won third-place honors at the 2021 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships, June 20-25 in Grand Island, Neb.

Belton schools fully plan to be open in 2021-2022
The Belton School District plans to be open for in-person instruction for 2021-2022 as it was during the 2020-2021 school year. The District’s elementary and secondary Return to School Task Force teams, made up of staff and parents, met in May to discuss changes for summer school. The teams will be meeting again in July to review the plan from 2020-2021 and the changes made for summer school as they draft the final copy of protocols for 2021-2022.
