Fugitive sex offender arrested by Cass County sheriffs
Cass Co – On Wednesday, February 20, Cass County sheriffs were able to locate and arrest Thomas D. Asta, who was being sought as a sexual offender, who had failed to register with authorities.

Ray-Pec forensics, debate teams compete at league meet
Ray-Pec High School forensics and debate students placed second in the individual events sweepstakes and third in the overall sweepstakes at the Greater KC Suburban Conference Tournament Gold Division on Feb 8-9.

Ray-Pec swimmers compete at state meet
The Ray-Pec High School girls swim team competed on Feb. 14 at the state tournament in two relays and three individual events. The girls did not qualify for the finals, which were Feb. 15 at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters, Mo.
