The Kansas City Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for an adult who has been missing since March 14.
The KCPD is asking for the public’s assistance in finding Mary McAlaster. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol news release, McAlaster is a 76-year-old black female, 5’2”, 100 pounds, gray hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray hat, brown jacket, blue jeans and orange, white and gray shoes.

The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) honored three Kansas City region cities at the First Suburbs Coalition meeting for becoming more age friendly.

Police say man fatally shot outside home in Kansas City

A man was fatally shot early Monday outside a home in Kansas City just west of Marlborough Park, police there said.
The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday, when gunshots were reported in the area, police said in a news release. Arriving officers found evidence of a shooting, police said, but someone had driven the shooting victim to a hospital, where he died. Police later identified the man as 34-year-old Corey Haley.
Homicide detectives collected evidence at the scene and searched for witnesses.
