The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the 2022 Spring Sheriff’s Citizens Academy. The program is an eight-week course that gives citizens an in-depth look and hands on training into the career of law enforcement at the sheriff’s office. Citizens are instructed by deputies on the subject of patrol, jail, communications, investigations, court, and community policing.

Cass County Collector of Revenue Chris Molendorp has released December 2021 property tax disbursement figures for Cass County’s local political subdivisions.
Molendorp announced $112,862,768.88 was disbursed to 70 separate local political subdivisions and the State of Missouri. This represents the largest December disbursement in Cass County history.

The Raymore Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program is back to normal operations after experiencing a minor setback last year.
On Dec. 15, police officers took 50 children holiday shopping as part of Shop with a Cop. In its sixth year, the program gives the Raymore Police Department the opportunity to help area children in need of assistance during the holidays.
