Man stabs Independence woman in face in Belton

The Belton Police Department has arrested a person of interest regarding a stabbing that occurred on Monday.At about 8 a.m. on Monday, April 25, Belton police received a call about a stabbing victim located at a convenience store near 163rd and Cornerstone Drive. When emergency personnel arrived, they located the victim inside a vehicle. The victim is a 46-year-old Independence, Mo., resident.

In just 24 hours, thousands of dollars were raised for the Raymore-Peculiar School District and dozens of high school students were recognized for their excellence in a meaningful display of support for education by the community.
On April 23, the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation hosted its annual gala at Abby Road Farm. This year’s Taste of Ray-Pec gala had a country western theme, complete with a dirt floor arena.
