Animal shelter fur babies need permanent home

The Raymore Animal Shelter is seeking permanent homes for several dogs that are currently in foster homes. The shelter is currently offering $25 dog adoptions. All adoptions include spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping and other routine services.
Shelters, rescues and foster homes across the Kansas City area and the nation are full and struggling with finding permanent homes for animals and Raymore is no exception.

Cass County ranked among wealthiest counties in Missouri

Accounting for overall wealth, Cass County is ranked sixth statewide, according to a study conducted by SmartAsset.
In a recent analysis conducted by online financial advising firm SmartAsset, Cass County has a wealth index of 16.3, the sixth highest in Missouri. The index is derived from calculating each county’s per capita investment income, median home value and per capita income:

Roundabout construction will CLOSE MO Route 58 at Ward Rd. beginning June 1

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will begin construction of a roundabout along state Route 58 at Ward Road beginning June 1 until approximately August.
This work will require the total closure of state Route 58 at Ward Road and traffic will need to follow the signed detour or seek an alternate route. All work is weather permitting.
Eastbound state Route 58 traffic will be detoured north on Interstate 49 to eastbound state Route 150, to southbound state Route 291.

The Ray-Pec Sunrise Optimist Club recently held a meeting featuring Troop 7032 Scoutmaster Dan Barnes. Troop 7032 Scoutmaster Claudia Rodriguez was unable to attend.
